Two years ago today was one of the happiest days of our lives! We were so happy and giddy that our bus driver from the hotel thought that we were on our honeymoon! But we were actually on our way to Guatemala to bring home our baby girl!! The travel day was LONG, and we didn't get to the orphanage until around 7 that night. But to finally have K in my arms after not seeing her for 8 long months, it was totally worth it!
This is what I had prayed that our first night with her would be like:
But this is the reality of what it was like:
She was sick, tired, and had no idea who we were! We made the hard decision to leave her in the orphanage for one more night, and all of us start fresh the next day. But that day is still one of the greatest days of my life!!
Wow! What a difference 2 years have made! There isn't even a shadow left of the Kendall that we had then. The fear, uncertainty, lostness, sadness that we saw then has been replaced with utter and complete happiness, joy and excitement with each new day. And all of that is due to God's sovereignty and the patience, love and determination that you and Bradley have had with her. God has truly blessed the King and Moses families with this special angel. I love you so much.
